it contains tea tree, aloe vera, cocoa butter, shea butter and sunflower seed oil. its a daily skin moistureriser but im using it to try and get rid of my acne and acne scars. first, will it get rid of my scars and acne? and secondly, how long will it take if im applying it once everyday?

Hi Kye,
Tea tree lotion is unlikely to help your acne, unless it has a 5% tea tree oil concentration.
As for helping with your scars it can’t hurt, but again a 5% tea tree oil concentration is better. I’d even say a minimum.
So if your skin lotion does not have 5% tea tree oil. Do the following.
Use a hot damp towel, and leave it on your face for a couple of minutes. Then use pure tea tree oil on a cotton ball and swab the acne affected area. Let that work for about 10 minutes, then use a facial cleanse (as natural as possible) and apply your skin lotion to hydrate your skin, and if it doesn’t contain 5% tea tree oil, add some to your hand with your lotion.
The hot damp towel will open your pores.
The tea tree oil will deep clean your pores and skin surface.
Cleaning your face will remove any residue.
Applying the lotion will re-hydrate your skin.
You might also take note that generally acne is not just a skin surface issue…but is also caused by our body’s chemistry…hormones and such. You might need to adjust your diet plan, and supplements to regulate your body.
